Why PAY to play on-line games? You can play many games absolutely FREE of hourly charges through Kali, ICQ, Heat, the Microsoft Internet Gaming Zone, Classic Entertainment Online, and now, even MPlayer! The games are listed on the Games Page, just click the link below.
Many online gaming services still charge high fees for the privilege of using their servers to play online games! It is not wrong by any means for them to charge access fees... they have the expenses of paying for upkeep and upgrades on the equipment which run their services. However, if you're like me, I think we'd all agree it's better to spend the money on more and better games than more opponents when possible. The problem is many people simply don't realize the alternatives that are available. That's why this page was created. All of the gaming services listed below are free. Click on a Service button to get detailed information about each service.
ICQ is what I use to setup TCP/IP games online. I open a chat room and pull all the players into the room, the IP# of the host and game information is given to all the players, it makes it very easy to setup multi-player games. ICQ is a free beta at this time and has several player lists that are divided into categories so you can always find contacts to chat and play games with. If you don't have ICQ click on the ICQ Link below to get it.
My favorite RTS (Real-time Strategy) game is Age of Empires Expansion Rise of Rome (ROR). Find out more about ROR by following the links to my favorite sites for ROR information. Download and check out the demo by clicking on the Rise of Rome box below, ROR is the best RTS game I have ever played.
